Dragons After School Program

Welcome to the 2025–2026 Dragons After School Program!

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at The School at St. George Place! We are excited to kick off another enriching year of the Dragons After School (DAS) Program. Our team is looking forward to providing a fun, engaging, and safe environment for your child after school hours. The program also serves as a convenient option for families needing consistent childcare.

Tuition and Payments
Tuition rates will remain the same:

  • $320/month for coverage until 6:00 PM

  • $340/month for coverage until 6:30 PM

Payments are due monthly from August 2025 through April 2026 (nine total payments). Each student will continue to receive a daily snack and dinner. Please note that we are moving to a cashless payment system through SchoolPay. The only exception will be for the month of August, when some students may not yet appear in SchoolPay. During August only, cash payments will be accepted.

Important: Payment must be submitted by Friday, August 8th to ensure your child is included on the DAS roster for the first day of school. (Please see the attached instructions for SchoolPay.)

Program Policies
Our program follows the HISD Student Code of Conduct to guide behavior expectations and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and staff. The following consequences will be applied for behavior violations:

  • First Violation: Verbal warning to student and parent

  • Second Violation: 1-day suspension from the DAS program

  • Third Violation: 2-day suspension from the DAS program

  • Fourth Violation: Dismissal from the DAS program

Pick-Up Policy
Please be mindful of your child’s selected pick-up time (6:00 PM or 6:30 PM). Students will be removed from the program after three late pick-ups within a single semester.

Additional Updates

  • Daily student pick-up will continue through the cafeteria doors.

  • We will be implementing a digital sign-in/sign-out system, which will be introduced soon.

  • This year, we will not be able to offer pro-rated tuition or accommodate daily "drop-in" requests.

  • Student enrollment is only confirmed once full payment is received via SchoolPay.
